In October, BBVA pays a dividend of €0.10 per share under the “dividend option” remuneration scheme

The holders of 88.28% of the free allocation rights opted to receive new shares, resulting in an increase of 61,627,952 newly issued shares.

BBVA has announced that its next dividend will be paid in April under the “dividend option” formula

Taking into account the recommendation issued by the Bank of Spain, BBVA will not pay a dividend in January 2014 and intends to increase the April 2014 dividend to 17 cents per share under the “dividend option” model.


BBVA has announced that it will replace the current shareholder remuneration policy with a cash remuneration policy linked to the performance of the Group's profits, with the ultimate goal of distributing 35%-40% of net attributable profit every year.


This policy will be applied gradually in order to offer as soon as possible a 100% cash dividend.

On October 22, BBVA implemented the quarterly and half-yearly dividend reinvestment plans at a price of €9.264

The reinvestment's price is the simple arithmetic mean of the weighted average changes on the continuous market during the October 17, 18, 21 and 22, 2013 sessions.
